Welcome to the Swing Analysis page of Trent Wearner Golf. Through this page, you can submit your swing directly to Trent Wearner for analysis. We encourage you to submit whatever aspect of your game you would like assistance with. Perhaps you need guidance with your full swing, your putting, short game shots, bunker play, an uneven lie you have trouble with or even learning to curve the ball a certain direction.

People use this service in a couple of ways. Trent’s current students use this when away from the golf academy and want Trent to check in on their prescribed improvements. Others, from various locations around the country, call upon Trent Wearner to help them with their game and have found this service more useful than getting a lesson from a local pro. Trent also works with a number of junior students who have graduated to playing college golf at different universities around the nation. They commonly utilize this service to stay in touch with Trent and keep their games sharp.

In your video Trent will explain to you every setup item that you need to improve. Within your swing, he will explain to you all of the steps you need to take in order to achieve your desired ball flight while stressing that you need to do step 1 before step 2 and so on. Some people want to understand the big picture but it’s important that you work on step 1 before step 2 and step 2 before step 3. Trent will lay this out for you. If you prefer being only told one step at a time, Trent will do this also. There will be a questionnaire that you fill out upon submitting your video and there you can tell Trent what process you prefer.

Your personal video will also include Trent’s voiceover, drawings, comparisons showing other golf swings, drills and a proper practice process to help in your ability to improve at a faster rate. Once your video lesson has been completed by Trent, an email will be sent to you with instructions on how to view your lesson. Your lesson will be posted online in a secure place for you to watch it. This will all be done within 3 days of submitting your video.

As you can see, Trent Wearner goes in-depth to help you improve. Technology is a wonderful tool but Trent believes in using it properly so that the student still improves. The questionnaire that you complete and the time it takes Trent to review, analyze, input drills and send back your video shows his complete approach and dedication to every student that seeks his guidance.

Camcorder Setup & Video Procedure

Setting up your camcorder to record your swing is quite easy. Here are a few quick tips to get you started:

• Set shutter speed on camcorder to at least 2000 or use Sport mode if your camcorder doesn’t manually allow you to set the shutter speed
• Put on tripod or other sturdy device
• Level the camera/tripod
• Height of camera should be hand-high when at your address position
• Place shaft/club on ground under your hands between your toes and the ball and position the down-the-line camcorder so it points directly down that shaft.
• Begin recording and hit two shots with whatever club you want.
• Stop recording and move camcorder to the face-on position
• Record two more shots with the same club followed by walking 2-3 feet away from camcorder where you should establish your grip for a closeup.
• Stop recording
• Review your video to make sure you can see your entire body and club swinging within the screen.

• Take your camcorder and save your swing to your home computer in mpg, and avi format. Then you’re ready to submit it to us in the step below.

• Once you begin to submit your video you will be asked to complete a questionnaire so that we may learn as much about you, your current missed shots and the type of shot you’re looking to hit. Also within the questionnaire is a blank area where you may write anything additional you would like Trent to know.
